When home I want to copy all of the photo files, including the new and modified photos onto my home external HD. I may also work on older photos, which is why I want to have my entire photo collection replicated on my travel HD. I will then take photos on the road, import them into LRC and edit as needed, etc.

I want to copy all of the photos on my hard drive at home onto a travel hard drive and reconnect these files to my LRC catalog on my laptop while traveling.

I keep all my photos on an external hard drive at home which are linked to my LRC catalog. Thus there is no need to worry about re-importing the catalog. I travel with my LRC catalog on my laptop - the same laptop and catalog I use at home. I have a slightly different workflow than what is described in The Lightroom Queen posts. I like to travel with my MacBook Pro and LR Classic for photography workshops, etc.

At the end, I select all the favorited photos, and export them as JPEG onto a Dropbox Folder.I am new to this forum but have found the blog posts and Lightroom Queen ebooks very helpful.

Go through each photo one by one (reverse chronological order, from newest to oldest photo), and when I see a photo I like that catches my eye, I use the MacBook Pro Touch Bar “Favorite” function (on the Touch Bar).
